Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is looking to bolster his side for an assault on the Premier League title next season, and are targeting FC Porto’s Jackson Martinez, Chelsea’ Petr Cech, Juventus’ Arturo Vidal and Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, according to Metro.
Martinez has confirmed he will leave the Portuguese giants in the summer while Petr Cech is believed to be weighing up his future due to his limited chances between the sticks at Stamford Bridge.
Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin has gone public is announcing his desire to play Champions League football next season, while Vidal’s future at Juventus is becoming increasingly unclear, Metro reports.
While it’s understandable Wenger is wanting to add to his firepower in the front third with Martinez, the emergence of Francois Coquelin throws into question whether the Gunners need to splash the cash on another defensive midfielder.
It promises to be an exciting summer for Gunners fans, with the club finally looking to dig deep into its coffers over the summer break.
