Ramsey set to make his first start of 2014 against Wigan.
It’s arguably the biggest game of Arsenal’s season on Saturday when they face Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium.
The competition is now the club’s only realistic chance of winning a trophy this term and manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed midfielder Aaron Ramsey should start against the Latics.
Ramsey had been out of action since Boxing Day 2013 and made his first appearance of the year for the Gunners during the 3-0 defeat to Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
Before his knee troubles the Wales international had been among the most in-form players in European football and with Mesut Ozil still out, Wenger will be hoping the 23-year-old can rediscover that form.

The Frenchman also revealed that Lukasz Fabianksi would be starting in goal ahead of Wojciech Szczesny and there are a number of other fitness concerns ahead of the game.

If the north Londoners can progress to the final and eventually win the tournament, it would end what is approaching nine years without any silverware.
It’s this lack of success that has seen the pressure on Wenger mounting and the 64-year-old will need his best players – such as Ramsey – to step up at Wembley.
