The Welshman is planning to be fit to take on Tottenham.
Ahead of the north London derby on March 16, injured Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsey has set the date with rivals Tottenham Hotspur as his return to fitness, reports the Telegraph.
After a brilliant start to the 2013/14 campaign the midfielder is yet to play in the New Year after being sidelined with a thigh problem.
Until then Ramsey had scored 13 goals and provided seven goals in 27 matches in all competitions for the Gunners and was enjoying his best campaign to date.
The 23-year-old had previously been mocked and was deemed not good enough for Arsene Wenger’s side, but the manager kept faith and is now reaping the rewards.
However, having Ramsey sidelined is a big blow for the Premier League title contenders, with the Wales international last playing on Boxing Day – partly due to a setback in the rehabilitation process last month.
It’s been a career of peaks and troughs for the midfielder since first arriving at the Emirates Stadium from boyhood club Cardiff City in 2008.
Ramsey suffered an horrific leg break in 2010 after a bad tackle from Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross and it set the Welshman back a number of months.
The midfield star is now key to Wenger’s plans for the north Londoners as they look to end what is approaching a nine year trophy drought.
