The 15-year-old had been hoping to earn a two-year scholarship with the Gunners after joining their youth set up on a short term deal in 2014.
The news comes as a shock as it was reported that he was moved up to the under-18s last week, seemingly for his good form.
However, it has since emerged that his promotion was more out of necessity than merit, as the majority of the Arsenal youngsters were missing on a trip, and the young Beckham was simply needed to fill in the gaps.
He will stay at Hale End until the end of the season, though it is not yet known if he will look for a new club.
