Arsenal and Liverpool are chasing the services of 27-year old Costa Rica No.1 Keylor Navas, who has impressed many with his stellar displays at the World Cup so far, reports the Mirror.
The Levante custodian is considered one of the best goalies in La Liga, and is being mentioned in the same breath as German ace Manuel Neuer and Brazil shot-stopper Julio Cesar as one of the stand out keepers at this World Cup.
Arsenal and Liverpool are in need of back up goalies to their No.1s Wojciech Szczesny and Simon Mignolet, and the experienced Navas fits the bill perfectly. Navas’ heroics in Costa Rica’s penalty shootout win against Greece has led the Central American minnows into the quarterfinals of the World Cup, where they will now face the Netherlands.
The former Albacete man reportedly has a release clause worth £6.5 million, and might even fancy a move to a top European side like Arsenal or Liverpool where he could well displace their current no.1s.
