Gunners go up against Italians for exciting attacking ace.
Arsenal are set to lock horns with Italian side AC Milan as they continue to fight to land Antoine Griezmann’s signature from Real Sociedad this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 23-year-old forward was in excellent form for the La Liga side last season, which carried on into the World Cup with France this summer.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been a known fan of the player for months now, and was rumoured to be sniffing around his signature during the January transfer window.
However, a concrete move failed to materialise, meaning Wenger has placed him near the top of his wish list this time around.
The Premier League side will be joined in their interest by Italian giants AC Milan, who are looking to rebuild their squad over the summer to overcome the hangover from a disappointing campaign in Serie A.
The San Siro based giants will miss out on European football next year, and will be looking at moving some of their under performing stars on in favour of some fresh talent.
New boss Filippo Inzaghi already has a list of targets in mind, and though Juan Iturbe currently tops it, Griezmann is a close second and the Milano legend will move for the Frenchman should his original plan fall through.
