Arsene Wenger promises Premier League title success for Arsenal.
According to CaughtOffside the Gunners are one of five clubs keeping tabs on the out-of-favour Romania international and will look to land him on-loan in the New Year.
Chiriches has struggled to establish himself in the Spurs starting XI since the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as manager over the summer and has made just seven appearances in all competitions this season.
Therefore Pochettino is likely to be open to allowing the 25-year-old to leave White Hart Lane and this has attracted the interest of Arsene Wenger as he looks to bolster his own defence.
Wenger started the campaign with just six recognised first team defenders and subsequent injuries to Mathieu Debuchy and Laurent Koscielny has exposed his lack of options at the back.
Youngster Calum Chambers has been used as both a right-back and in the middle, whilst Nacho Monreal has been called upon at times as a makeshift centre-back.
Therefore support is needed and Chiriches is viewed as the perfect short-term solution – although the North Londoners will face competition for his signature from Inter Milan, Napoli, AS Roma and Schalke 04.
