Arsenal have reportedly agreed to sell French midfielder Mathieu Flamini to Galatasaray.
The 31-year-old could reunite with former Gunners teammate Lukas Podolski, who made the same switch to Istanbul earlier this summer, as soon as Tuesday, according to the Daily Star.
Flamini only has one year left on his contract and recently stated his desire to earn a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, despite losing his place in the team to younger compatriot Francis Coquelin.
“I don’t like to give up that easily,” he said. “In football everything can move very easily one way and another. I don’t like to look back at the past. We are starting a new season and I’m focused on that one.
“I played a lot in the first part of the season and then I got injured in January and after that the team has been winning nearly every game, so it’s difficult to complain.”
Flamini, who rejoined Arsenal from AC Milan in 2013, made only 15 Premier League starts last season.
