The Gunners already look spoilt for choice in that area of the pitch, with Arsene Wenger having big names such as Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey to choose from in the three main attacking midfield slots behind the main striker.
Brahimi, however, looks worth the investment after a superb season in Portugal this year, scoring 11 goals from the middle of the park and catching the eye in the Champions League in particular.
According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are now hoping to lure him to the Emirates Stadium with a big-money bid in the next transfer window, in what could even end up being a double raid on Porto as the north Londoners have also previously tracked their star striker Jackson Martinez, according to the Metro.
