Arsenal is poised to sell Forward Joel Campbell to the Turkish club Fenerbache after loaning him out for four straight seasons.
According to the Metro, Campbell wants out of Arsenal and the Gunners appear willing to sell his contract to Fenerbache for £8 million despite signing a new contract to play at Emirates Stadium this past January.
The 22-year-old Campbell was signed by Arsenal out of Costa Rica in 2011, but Campbell failed to obtain a work permit to play in England and was loaned out to French and Spanish clubs until 2013. Campbell was finally elevated to the Arsenal roster in the 2014-15 season but played in just four games for the Gunners before signing on loan with Villarreal for 14 games.
Following a third place finish in the Premier League and a dominating 4-0 win in the FA Cup Final, Campbell may not have much of a chance at making the starting roster for Arsenal anymore – especially with the club poised to go on a major spending spree this summer.
