The Gunners are willing to up their offer for the Uruguayan.
After Liverpool confirmed they have rejected an offer from Arsenal for Luis Suarez, the Gunners are preparing to come straight back with an improved £40m bid, reports the Telegraph.

It had already been stated by Spanish journalist Kike Marin – a renowned member of the press followed on Twitter by Spain international Xabi Alonso – that the north London side were preparing this bid.

Now it is beginning to seem that what was first a fanciful wish from Arsenal fans to see Suarez at the Emirates Stadium is now becoming a serious bid from the club.
Liverpool will understandably be cautious about selling their top-scorer to a Premier League rival, but if the money is right and as the Uruguayan wantsto leave Anfield, an agreement could be met.
The fee being associated with the 26-year-old would of course smash the Gunners’ club record transfer fee of £17.6m paid for Jose Antonio Reyes in 2003.
However, with 209 career goals in 355 professional matches for club and country to date, manager Arsene Wenger could well be tempted for a player of Suarez’s calibre.
If Wenger truly does want the Uruguay international then the 63-year-old will need to act fast, as reports suggest Real Madrid are also in the hunt for the Reds striker.
