Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda is expected to receive an offer from the Gunners worth £8.5m, and the French international will not rule out a transfer, according to Metro.
Musonda has also received interest from Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain.
Arsenal has already succeeded in snagging a player away from Chelsea, as they scooped up goalkeeper Petr Cech, who had spent 11 seasons with the Blues while winning four Premier League titles.
After being relegated to a bench role in his final season with the Blues, Cech signed a transfer deal with Arsenal.
The Gunners are also in need of a midfielder after suffering a lack of depth last season, as most of their scoring production came from forwards Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud.
Although Musonda’s signing would not be as high-profile as Cech’s, he would bring young blood as he is only 18 years old.
Manager Arsene Wenger will look to bring out Musonda’s full potential if he can successfully lobby for him to join the Gunners.
