The Daily Star claim the Gunners are seriously considering an £80m raid on Bundesliga crisis club Borussia Dortmund, following the shock announcement Jurgen Klopp will exit as manager at the end of the season.
The Star believe a defender, midfielder and striker top Arsene Wenger’s transfer wish-list this summer and the Frenchman will look to do all of his shopping at BVB.
Arsenal are eager on a move for centre-back Mats Hummels who could be available for around £30m.
However, the Star understand that he prefers a move to Manchester United who are also keen.
Ilkay Gundogan could be another who rocks up at the Emirates in the coming months, this despite a poor injury record as of late.
Arsene Wenger would be willing to splash £20m on the midfielder to help cover the potential exits of Abou Diaby, Matheiu Flamini and Mikel Arteta.
The Arsenal boss would then round off his spending by attempting to work a deal for Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The striker would be another big money deal costing in the region of £30m but this would likely rise given the interested of Liverpool and the potential for a bidding war to thus ensue.
