Gunners keen to bring Spain forward to the Emirates this summer.
Arsenal have been told that they will need to pay £17 million if they want to buy Barcelona striker David Villa at the end of this season, according to reports on talkSPORT.co.uk.

The experienced Spain international is not currently getting a game with the Liga giants, having made just the eight league starts all campaign at Camp Nou, a situation that encouraged the North Londoners to try to bring the player to the Emirates during the recent January transfer window.
However, Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger failed with a last-gasp deadline-day swoop for the 31-year-old front man after the Catalans refused to let Villa leave the club, although it is understood that Barca’s stance is set to change come the summer.
Villa’s contract with Barcelona runs out at the end of the 2013/14 season and despite having failed to recapture his outstanding form from the early part of his career in Catalonia since breaking his leg in Dec 2011, the Spaniards are reportedly still set to seek a fee of £17m for the player when negotiations begin for his sale in a few months’ time.
That, however, maybe too high for the Gunners, especially given Villa’s age.
