Arsenal are still weighing up what to do about their midfield issues next season, and The Sun claims that they are prepared to improve their offer for Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho. Having failed with an opening offer of £20m, the Gunners have now tabled a fresh £28.5m bid, though it is thought that the Portuguese club still want his £37m release clause met.
