Gunners want Everton’s Seamus Coleman.
Arsenal will make an ambitious move for Everton full-back Seamus Coleman if Bacary Sagna refuses to sign a new deal, reports The Sunday People.
Sagna’s current deal expires at the season and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen for the Frenchman to commit for one more year.
But the 30-year-old is being cast admiring glances by Ligue 1 giants PSG and AS Monaco and there is no guarantee he will choose to remain in North London.
If he doesn’t sign, Wenger will turn to Republic of Ireland international Coleman.
The 25-year-old is a regular for the high-flying Toffees, who visit the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, and recently signed a new long-term deal with the club.
Coleman could cost as much as £10m but Wenger admires his energy.
However, it is understood the ever-thrifty Frenchman would rather keep Sagna than splash out on a replacement.
