Frimpong likely to go on loan before leaving on a free.
Arsenal will release midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong when his contract expires at the end of the season, according to The Daily Mirror.
The 21-year-old, who has been with the Gunners since he was nine, has been told his deal will not be extended and he is likely to go on loan in the New Year, before weighing up his options as a free agent in the summer.
The Ghana international has made just six Premier League appearances at Arsenal and has spent time on loan at Wolves, Charlton Athletic and Fulham in recent seasons.
