Wenger to move for Khedira before trying for Schneiderlin
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hoping to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, with Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin his second choice to come in in defensive midfield, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Gunners are in the market for a new signing in that position, and Khedira is seemingly Wenger’s first choice as he may be available for just £18m due to his contract expiring next summer.
Schneiderlin has hinted that he would be keen on a move though, after holding talks with Saints manager Ronald Koeman over his future.
