Mercedes Formula 1 star Nico Rosberg was also involved in the incident, which took place at Germany’s 2014 World Cup training camp in northern Italy on Tuesday.
Draxler and Hoewdes were said to be passengers in two cars driven by Rosberg and touring car ace Pascal Wehrlein.
The latter hit two spectators whilst trying to avoid a crash and one of them was airlifted to hospital as a result of the incident and as yet there is no news on how severe the victims’ injuries are.
Rosberg also tweeted after the accident.
