Paris Saint-Germain youngster Adrien Rabiot has been strongly linked with Arsenal this summer, but the Premier League club look set to be beaten to the midfielder at the 11th hour by AS Roma, according to L’Equipe.
The Serie A side are ready to submit a £12m bid for the 19-year-old, which is likely to out-price the Gunners and leave the Italians in prime position to land the starlet from the Parc des Princes.
Tottenham Hotspur have also shown interest in Rabiot, but do not have the lure of Champions League football like their fellow interested parties do.
The Frenchman is a product of the youth academy at PSG, breaking into the first team in the summer of 2012 and having made 43 appearances in all competitions since.
Rabiot also enjoyed a six-month loan spell with fellow Ligue 1 side Toulouse in 2013, before returning to Paris to try and fight for a place among some of the most expensive superstars in world football.
Needless to say the amount of game time the teenager has achieved under manager Laurent Blanc has not been deemed satisfactory and the midfield ace is open to a move away.
PSG are also looking to cash in on Rabiot while they still can as his current contract expires at the end of the 2014/15 season.
