Fiorentina told it will cost £6m to sign Mikel Arteta

The North London outfit have told interested club Fiorentina that it will cost £6m if they want to sign vice-captain Arteta this summer, reports the Times.

With just a year remaining on his current contract at the Emirates the future of the 32-year-old remains in doubt as no extension looks imminent.

Arteta was frequently criticised last season and there are unlikely to be many fans sad to see the Spaniard leave.
