Callum Chambers (Southampton)
Callum Chambers is just 19 years of age, but already looks set to prove yet another fine prospect to emerge from Southampton’s highly productive youth set up.
The teenager has competed with Nathaniel Clyne for a place in the Saints side this term, and in his 17 starts he has generally performed very well.
Chambers is a highly technical player who is excellent on the ball without neglecting his defensive duties, and his concentration, tackling, great spring off the ground for headers and positioning bely his years.
Though yet to gain either goal or assist this season, Chambers makes regular forays forward and offers a constant outlet for Southampton on the right.
Chambers’ knowledge and experience of English football could sway Arsene Wenger to choosing him to replace Sagna.
