Mattia De Sciglio
AC Milan right back Mattia De Sciglio was linked with Arsenal back in November as a cut price replacement for Sagna, as like the Frenchman his contract was set to expire in the summer.
Unlike Sagna though, the 21 year-old has extended his deal, and if the Gunners are to convince him to move to Emirates Stadium it would require some investment.
De Sciglio broke into the AC Milan first team in 2011 at the age of 18, and has recently earned recognition with Italy at international level too.
The tall full back is accurate in his passing and crossing, and regularly sets up shooting opportunities despite having not provided an assist this year – as 1.2 key passes per match shows.
It is in his defensive duties that De Sciglio stands out though, and in an underwhelming season for AC Milan he has maintained an impressive level of performance.
Opponents only dribble past him 0.6 times per match in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League, and should he decide he wants to compete in Europe’s premier club competition next season, a move to Arsenal could be on the cards.
