The Swiss international, who has five caps and two goals for his country, has scored 11 goals in 23 league matches for Bundesliga outfit Nuremberg since arriving from FC Zurich in 2013.
The Gunners are in need of a new striker this summer, with Olivier Giroud almost certain to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign after the Dane’s unauthorised drunken antics in Copenhagen last week.
Olivier Giroud remains first choice at the Emirates Stadium but his current back-up, Yaya Sanogo, is untested at the top level.
Powerful forward Drmic is relatively unknown in the UK but the 21-year-old, who can also play attacking midfielder, is likely to feature for the Swiss at next summer’s World Cup, where fans – and Arsene Wenger – will be able to take a closer look at him.
