Swansea demanding big money for skipper Ashley Williams.
Arsenal are refusing to meet Swansea’s £10m asking price for centre-half Ashley Williams, reports the Daily Mail.
The Wales international has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer, as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger looks to sure up his back four ahead of the new season.
But Wenger is unwilling to pay the Jacks’ £10m asking price, particularly as Williams will turn 29 before the start of the new season.
Liverpool are also interested in the former Stockport County defender, who captained Swansea to Capital One Cup success last term.
Williams is thought to be interested in a move to a bigger club but his agent stressed last week that the speculation was ‘paper talk’ and said there had been no bids for Williams.
Arsenal are in need of a centre half this summer, after a poor campaign from club captain Thomas Vermaelen last term.
