Another victory over Wenger’s men on Sunday will see the Blues require just two more wins if they are to seal the Premier League title, as well as Mourinho furthering his own personal record over the man he dubbed as ‘a specialist in failure’.
However, for Wenger, ending the run will carry little joy at this particular time as a win will only postpone the Blues’ title celebrations for another week, rather than boosting his chances of pipping them to the honour.
Arsenal actually hold a shocking record against Chelsea in the Premier League era, having played 23 games, they’ve chalked up only four wins and four draws, losing the remaining 15.
Whatever the outcome, though, the entertainment value is sure to be high as the last time Mourinho and Wenger met on the sidelines they nearly came to blows.
