Arsenal have reportedly rejected an offer of £3.5m from Palermo for forward Joel Campbell.
The Daily Express claims that Arsene Wenger wants closer to £7m for the Costa Rica international.
Campbell has yet to start a Premier League game for the Gunners since joining from Saprissa in 2011.
He spent loan spells at Lorient and Real Betis, before impressing in the Champions League with Greek club Olympiacos and in his country’s run to the World Cup quarter-finals in the 2013-14 season.
But he returned to the Emirates Stadium to find opportunities still limited, and Arsenal are now expected to offload him on a permanent basis in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old has also been linked with David Moyes’s Real Sociedad.
