Gunners willing to pay big to sign Morgan Schneiderlin.
Arsenal are ready to pay Southampton a huge fee of £27 million to land Southampton midfielder and French international Morgan Schneiderlin in the January transfer window, report the Mirror, but the player’s former manager Mauricio Pochettino is also ready to match the Gunners in a bid to take him to Tottenham Hotspur.

Schneiderlin has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League over the last couple of seasons and has only got better under Ronald Koeman, after the Saints refused to sell him in the summer, and the Frenchman may well opt to stay as his side challenge for Champions League qualification.
Despite some promising displays from Francis Coquelin since he was recalled from a loan spell at Charlton Athletic, Arsenal desperately need a combative midfield presence and Schneiderlin would certainly fit the bill.
