Croatian starlet Jedvaj is ‘a step away’ from joining Roma.
Arsenal target Tin Jedvaj is the subject of a reported £6m bid from the Gunners, but the defender’s agent Zoran Ban claims a deal to join AS Roma is more likely.
The 17-year-old plays for Dinamo Zagreb and has drawn the attention of Arsene Wenger, Roma and AC Milan for his mature performances in the Croatian league.
Yet Wenger looks set to miss out on this signing as Jedvaj is favouring a move to the Italian capital.
“Until Thursday he was a step away from signing with Roma, then I do not know what happened with the president of Dinamo,” Ban was quoted on tuttomercatoweb.com.
“It was on the basis of €5m. Roma have made this offer, so you should ask the President of Dinamo how much more money he wants. The boy is interested in coming to Rome.”
Although Zagreb are interested in bids from Arsenal and Milan, as they can offer more money, it is clear from the comments from Ban that Jedvaj himself would rather join Roma.
The main reason for this is believed to be because the teenager wants first team football – something he doesn’t think he is likely to get in north London or at the San Siro.
However, the deal is once again up in the air and if Wenger can convince the centre-back that the Emirates would be a good destination, coupled with out-pricing Roma, then Jedvaj could still make the trip to the Premier League.
Although difficult to come by here at fanatix we’ve found this stunning strike from the youngster.
