Midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide waited months for the call up to the Arsenal first team, but his joy was short-lived due to an injury.
According to the Metro, after the 17-year-old Reine-Adelaide was part of the Arsenal first-team photo on Thursday he suffered an injury during an Under-21 performance the following day.
Arsenal signed Reine-Adelaide in a double-move with RC Lens that included fellow youngster Yassin Fortune for a grand total of approximately £3 million back in May.
The Gunners have been ravaged by injuries to their offense and it has affected their scoring output this season. To date, the leading scorer for Arsenal is “own goals” with two, while the only other Arsenal player with a goal is Olivier Giroud with one.
Arsenal fans had high-hopes for Reine-Adelaide this year, as the French starlet tore it up in the pre-season this past summer.
