The Arsenal summer signing has been an absolute machine this season, but showed a human side when he saw his tame penalty saved by Rob Green.
Sanchez was taken out in the area by former Gunner Armand Traore, and demanded that he take the spot-kick; despite Santi Cazorla being the designated penalty taker for the North London club.
He saw his effort easily saved, but shouldn’t even have been allowed to take it according to Wenger.
“I think Santi is a nice guy and let [Sanchez] take it. Honestly, he is not No 1 on the penalty list, that’s true,” he said.
The Chilean made up for his shocking miss with a goal and an assist later in the game, but might think twice before forcing Cazorla off spot-kick duty.
