Arsenal are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, but the player will only be allowed to leave if his club can bring in Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid, according to the Metro.
The Gunners have been linked with a number of big-name strikers this summer, including AC Milan star Mario Balotelli and Loic Remy of Queens Park Rangers, and Cavani now looks to be on their radar as he seems keen on securing an exit from the Parc des Princes.
The former Napoli man has not had the best of times in France since his move from Serie A last summer, but his future hinges on whether or not PSG can beat Manchester United to the signing of Di Maria.
The Argentine has been strongly linked with both clubs this summer, but it previously looked like PSG had ruled out a move for him due to him being ‘too expensive’.
Still, they remain in the hunt and Arsenal will be hoping their rivals can’t deal a double blow to their plans by spoiling their efforts in signing a striker whilst also making a top-class addition of their own.
