Whilst World Cup winner Sami Khedira may not be the out-and-out defensive midfielder that Arsenal perhaps need most of all, he is a player who is intelligent and industrious enough to play that role more effectively than their current options. Is probably the best player they are likely to be able to get in January and would show that the club is committed towards continuing to sign more proven players.
