1) Loic Remy (Queens Park Rangers)
In terms of value and being a proven goalscorer in the Premier League, Arsenal’s best and most realistic option for a new signing upfront this summer might well be Loic Remy of Queens Park Rangers. The Frenchman has shown himself to be one of the most accurate finishers in England since he made the move from Marseille to QPR in January 2013. The 27-year-old has since gone on to net 20 times in 41 appearances, including in a loan spell this season with Newcastle United, who are unlikely to be able to keep him permanently. This should open up the chance for Arsenal to sign him for just £12m, according to reports, and his pace and sharp-shooting would arguably make him the perfect partner or alternative to Giroud in Wenger’s attack.
The Gunners will have to act fast though, with the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also monitoring Remy’s situation this summer, though it is thought that the player himself would favour a move to the Emirates Stadium over any others.
