Jack Wilshere contract: Arsenal offer £26m deal to controversial midfielder
Arsenal transfer news: £10.9 Petr Cech fee AGREED, Gunners closing in on £24m Southampton star
Since the 23-year-old midfielder has played for both Arsenal and England, he has a lot of talent to pick from to create an all-star starting XI.
Manchester City’s Samir Nasri and Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas were chosen over Mesut Ozil in midfield, although they left Arsenal in an angry fashion. Wilshere also included former Gunners defector Ashley Cole to round out the back-four and Joe Hart as keeper.
Current Arsenal stars were also included, with Laurent Koscielny and Santi Cazorla getting in, while Bacary Sagna, who was sold to Man City last summer, was at right-back.
Although not a surprise, no one from Tottenham Hotspuris included in Wilshere’s ultimate XI.
Goalkeeper Joe Hart, Chelsea’s John Terry, Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney make up the remainder of the side.
Watch Wilshere pick his XI and explain his reasoning in the video below.
