14. Andy Carroll, West Ham United – £15m
Brendan Rodgers finally offloaded Reds disaster Carroll in 2013 and even recouped nearly half of the £35m they had paid Newcastle United for the striker.
Now West Ham have had the pleasure of watching their most expensive player spend most of his time on the physio’s table.
13. Mamadou Sakho, Liverpool – £18m
The Merseysiders appeared to concentrate primarily on central defence in last summer’s transfer window and acquired no fewer than three centre-backs.
Whilst their season has been extremely good, Rodgers’ men has been very leaky at the back although Sakho has been fairly sturdy.
