12. Andre Schurrle, Chelsea – £18m
Was the Blues’ first signing of Jose Mourinho’s second term in charge and whilst the German has been far from a flop, he hasn’t really dazzled either.
A match-winning hat-trick at Craven Cottage was a particular highlight, but Schurrle is not established in the starting XI as yet.
11. Paulinho, Tottenham Hotspur – £17m
It’s a fairly similar story for this Brazilian – who was the first to break Spurs’ club record transfer fee, previously held by David Bentley.
Paulinho started well in north London, but has found opportunities limited under Tim Sherwood and appears to play better for Brazil than Tottenham.
