The German has not been at his best, and he still has some work to do before every Arsenal fan will feel he’s paid back his £42m transfer fee – but his talent is undeniable. Ozil assisted eight Premier League goals before Christmas, which was the highest in the top flight at one point, and although injuries have hampered his campaign, he’s still one of the world’s best playmakers when fit.
