MC) Mikel Arteta
With Ramsey and Ozil crocked, we expect Wenger to play with two anchoring midfielders, in a 4-2-3-1 formation. This means Arteta will likely partner Flamini at the base of the midfield, providing a platform from which the Gunners’ more attacking players can create.
MC) Mathieu Flamini
The French midfield destroyer was very impressive during Arsenal’s crucial 1-0 win over Newcastle on Boxing Day, and put in a similarly important shift against Cardiff before he was withdrawn for more attacking players. Because of the previously mentioned injuries, he should start against Spurs on Saturday.
AMC) Jack Wilshere
With Ozil and Ramsey out, we expect Wilshere to be given the pivotal creative no.10 role, in an advanced midfield position. With Arteta and Flamini protecting him, he could be given the licence to get forward and help the attack.
