CM – Mathieu Flamini
Since coming back to Arsenal last season, Flamini has become an important part of Wenger’s team. Acting as the anchor man in midfield, the Frenchman will do the defensive duties while the other more creative players can work their magic in the opposition half.
CM – Jack Wilshere
With Aaron Ramsey suspended for tonight’s game, Wilshire’s role in Wenger’s side becomes even more important. The young English midfielder’s passing skill will be important when Arsenal are trying to unlock the Besiktas defence.
RW – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
With the likes of Theo Walcott injured, Oxlade-Chamberlain will provide the width in this side. He will be expected to open the game up with his pace and quick feet.
LW – Santi Cazorla
Against Everton, Mesut Ozil played in the left midfield position. However, the German didn’t have much of an impact on the game in an unfavoured role and Cazorla will replace Ozil on the flank.
