With the Sami Khedira deal up in the air due to the German’s excessive wage demands, Arsenal could sign his German comrade Lars Bender instead. Bender plays for Bayer Leverkusen, and would provide the combative presence the side needs in the middle of the park. Ramsey will have a starting spot guaranteed, and Wilshere could be used further forward instead. Arteta and Flamini provide solid holding midfield squad options.
