Sami Khedira

Arsenal need another holding midfielder, and world-class German Khedira would provide the side with a genuine battling influence if he were to sign from Real Madrid, with a £23m fee mooted. 

Mathieu Flamini/Mikel Arteta 

Although Mikel Arteta has no intention of leaving Arsenal, it’s unlikely both Flamini and himself will be kept if the Gunners do sign a new anchoring midfielder.
