3) Carl Jenkinson
The English fullback actually won a cap for the country back in 2012, but it looks very unlikely that he’ll make Roy Hodgson’s squad for next summer’s World Cup. This term, he’s only made six Premier League starts, where he hasn’t looked capable of eventually stepping into Bacary Sagna’s shoes at right-back when the Frenchman calls it a day. Positionally, Jenkinson is caught out far too often, and he doesn’t have the natural physical attributes to makes up for it. However, at just 21-years-old, Jenkinson has plenty of time to hone his skills and become recognised as one of the better fullbacks in the country.
