Wenger had admitted late last year that there was a good possibility that Henry could take up a role with the side’s coaching staff, which was then offset by rumours of his impending return at the beginning of February.
Henry has just recently signed on to be a pundit with Sky Sports, but Wenger has now confirmed that the deal to bring him back is now complete as he looks to earn his coaching badges.
“Thierry Henry is making his first steps as a coach,” Wenger said.
“It’s good for our youngsters to be coached by him. He’s been here once or twice. All our former players are welcome to come back here and get their coaching badges.
“We’re happy to have him.”
