Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may have dropped a huge hint that he is preparing a summer swoop for in demand Porto striker Jackson Martinez by claiming that he is perfect for the Premier League, the Daily Express reports.

Arsenal, alongside the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool, have been linked with a move for the Colombian international for some time now, and speculation about where his future lies has been thrust into overdrive recently after he admitted that he would be interested in an exit from Portugal.
Wenger didn’t necessarily admit his interest in the player, though he did take time to heap a considerable amount of praise on the 28-year-old’s shoulders.
“[He has] top physical strength, hugely efficient,” Wenger said.
“He’s the kind of player who can make room for himself in the box.
“He could play in the Premier League, Jackson Martinez, because he has the body to make the difference.
“He uses in a very intelligent way his body, very short backlift and is a very good finisher.”
“He’s on the list of many clubs, you know that.
“And he will be the next big transfer who will give a big smile to Pinto Da Costa.”
