The Gunners will face Aston Villa in this important match, and they are expected to win it since Aston Villa struggled to a 17th-place finish in the Premier League.
Forward Theo Walcott and midfielder Jack Wilshere remain in the team’s future plans, according to manager Arsene Wenger.
“I think he is good enough. Anyway he can play on the flank, but if you ask me where do I see him in the future, it is through the middle. If you ask him, he will tell you as well through the middle,” Wenger said on Walcott to ESPN FC.
They both starred in Arsenal’s season finale victory over West Brom, as Walcott scored three goals for a hat trick while Wilshere added the fourth goal.
Despite their strong performances against West Brom, Walcott and Wilshere have been benched for the FA Cup final.
Walcott, who is 26 years old, appears to have a bright future after overcoming a cruciate rupture for a strong finish to his season.
Wilshere also persevered through adversity as he suffered a broken ankle and missed six months due to surgery.
Wenger explained his decision to bench Walcott by pointing out that he cannot place him in the starting XI with fellow striker Olivier Giroud.
