Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to deny that FC Schalke 04 attacking midfielder Julian Draxler was spotted on a visit to the Arsenal training ground.
The Gunners boss was asked in his morning press conference about reports the north London outfit were lining up a move for the Germany international, but laughed off reports that the 20 year-old had been seen at his team’s Colney base.
“That’s like with the UFO’s,” said Wenger.
“Some see them everywhere.”
The press conference quickly moved on, but this transfer rumour has failed to do so for over six months, with Arsenal being strongly linked with Draxler ever since the summer.
Former footballer Jan Aage Fjortoft – now working on German television – had this to say earlier this week.
