A source close to the Arsenal team has revealed that Gunners manager Arsene Wenger was ‘angrier that he’s been in many years’, following the club’s 3-1 Champions League defeat to AS Monaco.

Wenger’s side are on the verge of an exit from Europe’s premier competition, having been stunned by the French giants on Wednesday evening, and according to CaughtOffside the drama didn’t stop there.
The source said: “Arsene usually is very composed after a defeat but he was furious at the manner of this one. He vented his anger on everyone.”
According to the source, a number of Arsenal players were also unsettled by the absence of England international Calum Chambers, who was left out in favour of youngster Hector Bellerin.
