The Frenchman is set to mark an historic landmark with the club.
The Premier League title clash with Chelsea on Saturday will mark manager Arsene Wenger’s 1,000th game in charge of Arsenal.
Wenger first took charge of the Gunners in 1996 and since then has led them to three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and a Champions League final.
So to mark the occasion fanatix has picked out the best starting XI from the stars to have featured under the Frenchman during that time.
GK – David Seaman
This was a tough call between the former England No.1 and Jens Lehmann, with the German having succeeded Seaman to great effect in the 2000s.
However, for six years of service under Wenger (13 years in total for the north London club) and two league titles, the Englishman takes the gloves in our team.
