Ligue 1 giants consider move for Blues star.AS Monaco have been linked with a move to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech after a move fell through for Victor Valdes to join, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Ligue 1 giants are known to be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, and look to have made Cech their main target now after failing to agree deal for free agent Valdes, who left Barcelona at the end of his contract at the end of the 2013/14 season.
Cech is another player who could be available in this year’s transfer window due to the return of young Belgian shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge, with the former Atletico Madrid loan star possibly set to become first choice for Jose Mourinho’s side.
The Czech Republic international has been a great servant to the Blues in his ten years at Stamford Bridge, but now faces increased competition for his place in the team with the presence of Courtois, which has also seen him attract interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
